of COURSE I did the gig...

SATURDAY 9/24/22 11:28AM--So I did the gig with Michelle George and Arlene after all. If nothing else, I discovered that I couldn't get the sound I wanted outta Blackie (the Tele). So I switched to Butterscotch, which made a bit of a difference. I suspect Blackie will be sold first, possibly on consignment. I tried the amp George brought for me to use but *I* couldn't get any sound out of it. It's a good thing my amp was in the trunk, where it had been since (I think) last Saturday's gig with Ray at Brian Boru.
I don't want last night's gig to be my last gig, but it seems likely that it will be. What a bummer. I consider it to be a major anticlimax to a 50 year life as a Musician. Which somehow seems appropriate.
As for what's happening today, I have no idea. Maybe Dianne does, but *I* don't.
After all the evenings I spent out this past week playing Music (all three of them) I need a break. There was more than the usual amount of driving as well.
I have to reschedule the stress test I was to get on Monday for some other day--Dianne needs me to drive her home from HER  Monday morning appointment. She'll be coming off of the anesthesia  she'll be under for her procedure.  Unfortunately I can't reschedule the appointment until the time OF the appointment. I'll likely get charged for it anyway. Wonderful.

I wish THIS had been my last gig. But apparently it won't be. Ray Weaver and Friends at Brian Boru, 9/20/22.

REALLY wish I had remembered my hat last night at Brian Boru. And I hated being late. It wasn't my favorite Ray gig. I think Galway Bay was a little better, all acoustic though it was.

SATURDAY 9/24/22 2:34PM--had a late lunch, as in just now. I think that maybe we might possibly be going to the Laundromat later. It feels like Sunday. I'm so glad it's not. I'm feeling pretty far down; I don't know how to change that-yet.
5:39PM-We are at the laundromat. We should be leaving in about 20 minutes or so; to go to Family  Dollar, which is at the other end of this shopping center.
6:20PM-we could be home in about 20 minutes; I’d like that very much. I have no idea whatsoever what we’re doing tomorrow. I thought we were going to the laundromat on Sunday, but I’m glad we got it done and over with today.
7:44PM--a very late dinner...mac & cheese...
10:46PM--just took the nighttime meds...hoping to watch ST-TOS soon, although I just saw tonight's episode a couple of days ago. Although I haven't opened the package yet, my Brian Wilson t-shirt came earlier today.
