change of plan

 

           WEDNESDAY 8/10/22 8:45PM--The workmen are here, but I think all they're gonna do today is demolish the bathroom and paint it. They're gonna reconstruct it tomorrow.  I'm putting off the trip to the dump until then. I feel as though I need to focus on band practice, if I can ignore the noise they're possibly gonna be making.
     For all *I* know, they could be done by Lunchtime. And that's OK by me. Because my amp is at Tom's house, I can't try out the Gizmo settings here. I might be able to just use headphones with the Gizmo; Guess I'll find out later if that works.
11:50AM--I think they've started the painting; I don't expect them to leave before Two o'clock.
12:55PM--they have been at Lunch for awhile...I think they're coming back in; shouldn't be much longer I would think. UPDATE--I was just told it will be another two hours; maybe they're gonna do more than just painting.
5:42PM--Practice was cancelled, with about two hours notice. Although she allegedly tested NEGATIVE, Elle has cold symptoms. So she cancelled practice; and *I* don't think we'll get another chance before the gig. And THAT makes me even more nervous than I was before.
7:18PM--I don't wanna work on the paint cans tomorrow; I would be REALLY upset if Dianne's car got stuck in the "backyard". *I* think the paint cans can wait one more day--or two.
9:21PM--Dianne just told me she's not worried about the paint cans; so I won't worry about 'em either. The remodeling guys are gonna be here again tomorrow. I WANT to work with the Gizmo (obviously in the basement) so I'm gonna attempt that if I can. I don't think I have anything else on my calendar for tomorrow.
10:51PM--it took awhile, because, for the umpteenth time, I had to change my Apple password...but I now have BREAKOUT by Swing Out Sister in my phone.
