The luckiest guy in the world ?

     

              SUNDAY 7/31/22 4:19PM-to cut to the chase, the roomie GAVE me $1500 with which to cancel most of my credit card debt.
          I still wonder if I’m dreaming. I believe I’ve wiped out the Chevy Chase charge card and the Victor Litz charge card. Which leaves the Best Buy charge card. And I believe the idea is to put a big dent in it. On top of that, I think the SSA money is coming in overnight tonight. By the way, I THINK the big dent (Approximately $500 ) is about  1/3 of the current balance. Which I think leaves a balance of approximately $1000. Dianne now suggests that I pretend that the Cap One credit card and the Litz credit card no longer exist. And I’m OK with that. I think I can do it.
4:38PM-In fact, I have $50 credit at Litz, so I’m going to have BUTTERSCOTCH worked on. I THINK it will cost $35 to put Butterscotch  back in playable shape. I might (possibly) put Blackie in playable shape as well. And the next time I go to Unique, I should donate the bass that Bob gave me – he said I could do whatever I wanted to with it.
7:01PM--while at Marshall's Dianne found a PAIR of watches for $25 bucks...Always remember and never forget--ya get what ya pay for. But miraculously I got 'em both up and running. One is for most of the time the other is for special occasions.
10:11PM--just took the Trazodone...the plan is to be in bed by 11PM...it seems likely to me. I think that the payments I made today won't go thru the system until sometime tomorrow. And I might get the SSA money overnight.
      MONDAY 8/1/22--I got the SSA money overnight, for what it's worth. I used my Litz store credit to get Butterscotch back in shape. I took SueEl out to Lunch. Waiting to hear from Dianne-Alvin is in the hospital. I'm not optimistic. I hope very much that I'm wrong, but I have no idea what's going on yet.
        7:40PM--Alvin is home and doing OK. I'm planning on paying some bills tomorrow, using my DEBIT card...planning on sending some money to put a dent in the BEST BUY balance as well.
TUESDAY 8/2/22 9:56AM--paying bills, doing laundry...working on straightening up around the living room and kitchen...I NEED to practice December '63...
12:21PM--sometimes it's the simplest things--I like having a watch on my wrist, even a not so smart one. I just need it to tell time and the date and the day. I got some of my "to do " list taken care of--paid/mailed in a pair of bills...it might be a few days before I can find out how much is in my checking account, but I think I've got enough cash in my pocket for a day or two.
6:22PM--the best thing to happen today-that had me worried--was finding the paperwork that authorizes me to get an MRI for...something.
7:22PM--I'm seriously thinking of going to the OBTG open mic tomorrow evening; I need to check on Butterscotch's refurbishing job. UPDATE-I was just reminded that we have band practice tomorrow--RATS...
               For about the past hour I've been working on the synth solo in DECEMBER '63...I think I've almost got it. THAT might be the best thing to happen all day.
11:22PM--waiting for the Trazodones to kick in, hopefully 'round Midnight, if not sooner...the synth riff is coming along OK, considering that four hours ago I hadn't tried to play it before. If I leave out ONE note I'll be OK. My luck, Elle will notice the missing note. I really hope she doesn't.
11:45AM--the synth riff (on guitar) is coming along...I think I'll be fine tonight at practice.
                  I was worried about making the appointment to get the MRI that I'm supposed to get, but they called ME. So that's one less thing...August 17th at 8:30AM. I'm hoping Wisconsin Ave will be fairly quiet that early in the morning, but who knows?
12:14PM--Dianne is going to go get Muzzy now, and THAT'S one less thing too.
1:10PM--Dianne has been gone nearly an hour, I wonder what's going on.
11:18PM--practice went pretty much the way it usually goes--tempers flair a bit, all three of us...that means we care passionately about what we do as musicians.
11:35PM--Flakebook is messed up and the TV is messed up--and *I* dunno how to fix either one. I guess somebody wants me to go to bed now. So I guess I'll have to.
THURSDAY 8/4/22 10:17AM--Jorge and the girls are supposed to come today, but *I* dunno when. I'm glad I don't (as far as I know) have anything going on today or this evening. And I dunno what I'm gonna do when they DO get here.
10:30AM--dunno why, but it feels later than it actually is. Might have to eat Lunch somewhere other than home, like Jersey Mike's. Or not...I really wish I knew when they were coming.
2:42PM--they left a few minutes ago...I hope to be napping by 3:30 or so. Went to the grocery store, bought some stuff, but forgot the baloney--naturally.
