I guess the work will never be finished

 

       THURSDAY 7/7/22 8:46AM--Gonna be working on the basement for weeks before I can call it done. I also have to finish prepping for Jorge's arrival; and I have no idea when they're coming. I don't like not knowing that. I guess maybe I'll take the LPs to Litz while they're here. It turns out I DO have to go to Lowe's to get a mini flathead==that FITS.
12:19PM--so I got a set of minis for about $7 dollars....went to Litz and got rid of my albums, for about $50 bucks and bought three .010s. for Pete. They acquired somebody's collection of (mostly) electric guitars- a few dozen or so. Didn't look too closely...I barely have room for the collection of mine.
   The cleaners could be here any minute now; they should be gone by roughly 3:30 more or less. When they get here I'll go to work on the guitars, etc.
2:30PM--Blackie needs an intonation check, PETE is in IMO great shape and a strong contender for #1 guitar. Triplets ? I wanna revert back to its' original switch circuitry (almost). 
7:35PM--well, I wanted to arrive at Bippy's by 7:30 and I did. Had a teeny bit of a problem finding the entrance, but I got a very good parking space.I think I'm gonna be glad I brought my earplugs.
8:25PM-not at all sure what I'm gonna sing yet.
8:33PM-well, so much for keeping to myself.
9:33PM--getting nervous again...
10:36PM--I did OKAY I guess, the folks seemed to like me. Pete sounded pretty good to me. I've got two weeks to get ready for the next one.
FRIDAY 7/8/22 8:17AM-took Sophie to the vet--that medicine the roomie gave her calmed her down. The trip with Muzzy to her playdate went well as well.
12:14 PM--they're both home now...I really hope that I can get some kinda nap. But I gotta go to a grocery store and buy tonight's Dinner. And Dianne needs to get her vehicle's emissions tested, hopefully before Dinner today. I'm probably not gonna get a nap.
4:32PM-No nap today… Dianne is at the second of two secondhand stores we visited today. Lucky for me there was a Dunkin’ Donuts that had a bathroom, and a wine store that sold soft drinks in cans.
5:24PM—Went to giant and got macaroni and cheese for dinner… I should be arriving at tonight‘s rehearsal right on time. Hope I didn’t just jinx it.
Starting to get nervous about the vocal audition tonight I’m also going to be playing guitar I think; but I’m getting nervous.
5:47PM-There’s a distinct possibility that I will be late for the rehearsal this evening; Dianne said it was a short shopping trip for her – I don’t think there’s any such thing. 

I waited as long as I could,  I sent her a text message. Naturally, she has yet to reply.
UPDATE She’s allegedly checking out somewhere. This is the worst time to go shopping if you’re in a hurry to get somewhere else.

Musical homework

            THURSDAY 8/4/22 6:19PM-- started doing my band "homework"... Hoping to be ready by Sunday's practice. Made a legible copy (by hand and then laptop) of the songs and their corresponding NOTES. It didn't take too long, but I'm glad I'm finished. 10:22PM-just took the Trazodone...gonna give it until 11PM and then ready or not I'M going to bed. I don't know why, but I'm almost happy the cleaners won't be back for two weeks. This happens every time they come to clean. Tomorrow is Muzzy's play date. Tuesday's just as bad

            TUESDAY 5/17/22 11:16AM-- someone is coming here to give me some sort of check-up. I don't think they represent UHC, but I might be wrong about that. Whoever it is, they're supposed to be here between Noon and 4PM. The sooner they get here, the sooner they'll be gone.  11:45AM--I'm nervous about the upcoming exam. As if I didn't already have enough to worry about, right? I've got bills I think need to be paid; I wanna be alone when I do it, and unless Dianne goes upstairs to work, I won't be. 1:41PM--whoever's coming to examine me should be here shortly...how long will the exam take? I have no idea, but I hope to be trying for a nap before three o'clock. 2:56PM--the exam is over, the young woman just left...I guess I'm in worse shape than I thought. I MIGHT have a mini pizza for dinner. 3:35PM--or not...the last thing I wanna do is ask Dianne to help me cook anything ...so tonight I'll have the Fettucine Alfredo, THAT I know how ...

dumber as ya get older

        MONDAY 5/23/22 8:47AM-It took me awhile, but I (alone) checked my blood sugar. it was 116. I was ok once I found the instruction booklet. I made a really good looking omelet. Today is the last day it's safe to use the eggs.         Dianne is at her doctor's appointment, I think. I'm working on the dishes,  after which...well, I dunno what I'll be doing. IF I can find the energy, I'll go to Hank's--IF I get the chance to warm up, more than a little that is. 5:10PM--the strings on Butterscotch absolutely need to be changed...well, maybe next week I'll bring it to Hank's. I'm still planning on going, but I'm not taking anything but some guitar picks. SueEl still isn't going tonight as far as I know. There might be a Fender amp and Tele already there--I can use that stuff if I get the chance to play. 7:26PM-the amp is here, the Tele is not-as far as I can see. 7:42PM-I guess I’ll be a spectator…such is Life.
