new laptop? could be, could be not

 

          SATURDAY 4/23/22 6:03PM--I allegedly bought this laptop about 7 years ago. I'm not surprised that the Best Buy guy recommends getting a new one. I found one I like; the hard part will be loading up the new one with programs I like--I think I have to make a list; THAT'S likely to be a MAJOR Gov't Project. I'll do that some other day, I'm kinda burnt out on technology...
7:28PM--I guess SueEl and I are gonna be going to Hank's on Monday. I'm gonna take the Strat, I think. I wanna compare Butterscotch with Butterscotch II. I suspect there will be a difference  I have yet to hear from SueEl. I just realized today is not Sunday. If I COULD do the Snoopy Dance, I would.
9:35PM-I dread the coming of Monday. I’m not playing with a full deck. Most of a full deck, maybe…but not all of it.
SUNDAY 4/24/22-Well we made it to Olney and I’m leaning against the tree that’s in the shade, at least for now. Our next stop is the landfill, and the stop after that is Best Buy.
11:36AM-for the time being I found an actual chair to sit on. Let’s see how long that lasts.
I’m getting excited about getting a new laptop, but I’m also nervous about setting it up. I don’t think there are that many apps on the Toshiba that I want to keep but I guess I’ll find out when I get to Best Buy.
12:02PM-I’ve pretty much given Dianne the ability to take her time do whatever she wants, etc. if it was up to me we’d be leaving in about a half an hour; but it’s not up to me. And of course we have to stop at the landfill to get rid of some stuff, that might take a longer than I want it to.
2:30PM-Well I’ve got a new laptop, it’s a bit more money than I wanted to pay, naturally.  The appointment to get it up and running is set for dinnertime Tuesday.
Thankfully, there’s nothing else going on as far as I can tell, appointment-wise. But it’s like I’ve said before, all of life is one big patience test.
4:40PM-I’m going to Safeway now, I should be back before 5:30. The inside of the car is insanely hot; now I’m worried about the guitar amp. What I could do is put it in the trunk; maybe that’s what I’ll do now.
7:05PM--it didn't occur to me that a laptop would NOT have a CD player/burner...but the one I just got DOES NOT. I may have to get a seperate player/burner. Dianne says she might have one in her office. See, even when I win, I lose.
9:12PM--If SueEl can't/doesn't wanna gp to Dietle's tomorrow evening, I'm OK with that. Or I can go by myself, in the hopes that I can concentrate on something besides computers and stuff like that. I think I'm gonna take Butterscotch I.

Musical homework

            THURSDAY 8/4/22 6:19PM-- started doing my band "homework"... Hoping to be ready by Sunday's practice. Made a legible copy (by hand and then laptop) of the songs and their corresponding NOTES. It didn't take too long, but I'm glad I'm finished. 10:22PM-just took the Trazodone...gonna give it until 11PM and then ready or not I'M going to bed. I don't know why, but I'm almost happy the cleaners won't be back for two weeks. This happens every time they come to clean. Tomorrow is Muzzy's play date. Tuesday's just as bad

            TUESDAY 5/17/22 11:16AM-- someone is coming here to give me some sort of check-up. I don't think they represent UHC, but I might be wrong about that. Whoever it is, they're supposed to be here between Noon and 4PM. The sooner they get here, the sooner they'll be gone.  11:45AM--I'm nervous about the upcoming exam. As if I didn't already have enough to worry about, right? I've got bills I think need to be paid; I wanna be alone when I do it, and unless Dianne goes upstairs to work, I won't be. 1:41PM--whoever's coming to examine me should be here shortly...how long will the exam take? I have no idea, but I hope to be trying for a nap before three o'clock. 2:56PM--the exam is over, the young woman just left...I guess I'm in worse shape than I thought. I MIGHT have a mini pizza for dinner. 3:35PM--or not...the last thing I wanna do is ask Dianne to help me cook anything ...so tonight I'll have the Fettucine Alfredo, THAT I know how ...

dumber as ya get older

        MONDAY 5/23/22 8:47AM-It took me awhile, but I (alone) checked my blood sugar. it was 116. I was ok once I found the instruction booklet. I made a really good looking omelet. Today is the last day it's safe to use the eggs.         Dianne is at her doctor's appointment, I think. I'm working on the dishes,  after which...well, I dunno what I'll be doing. IF I can find the energy, I'll go to Hank's--IF I get the chance to warm up, more than a little that is. 5:10PM--the strings on Butterscotch absolutely need to be changed...well, maybe next week I'll bring it to Hank's. I'm still planning on going, but I'm not taking anything but some guitar picks. SueEl still isn't going tonight as far as I know. There might be a Fender amp and Tele already there--I can use that stuff if I get the chance to play. 7:26PM-the amp is here, the Tele is not-as far as I can see. 7:42PM-I guess I’ll be a spectator…such is Life.
