The more things change...

SATURDAY 2/19/22 1:12AM--so the latest gig with Ray is history...I THINK I'm playing with him on St. Patrick's Day, March 17th. Tonight's show was typical, if there is such a thing as a typical Ray Weaver gig. I've got $50 in my pocket that I didn't have when I left the house...I like using the amp better than playing thru the Gizmo (ME 70) by itself.
Three differnt people have suggested that I bring a guitar to Pirates Cove "just in case"...I really wanna be a member of the audience for a change, to see what that feels like. We'll see, right? I hope there's something I like to eat there, because that's  where Dianne and I are having Dinner. As for the rest of the day, I don't have anything to do that I know of, and that's fine by me.
9:30AM--a somewhat rude awakening--Dianne forgot to take the Sonata's registration card with her--so I took a picture of it and sent it to her. I'm assuming that will still get the job done. Whatever the job is...I don't have anything else to do that I know of--except the dishes. And I don't WANT anything else to do.
I guess we're still going out to dinner at Pirates Cove this evening. I don't wanna take the guitar out in such cold weather, but I guess I'm going to anyway.
12:15PM--I guess Ray doesn't know that I'm NOT driven to perform; Generally, I can take or leave it either way. At this point, it's physically challenging for me. And of course the crowd is there to see Ray, so it probably doesn't matter WHO is onstage with him. And four people occupying a space that's barely big enough for ONE person is extremely challenging, to put it mildly. In the past, Dianne hasn't liked it all that much when I desert her to go onstage, and I don't blame her. That is another reason why I don't wanna bring a guitar--I have a hard time saying "no" to almost everybody--like Ray for instance.
I should make a brief run to Safeway after my attempted nap; The naps never last as long as I want them to, so I probably will have time to make that trip. I dunno what time we're leaving, but I'm thinking five o'clock or so. That would get us there by six-ish I think. I hope Dianne gets a nap too, otherwise she won't be able to keep her eyes open after we eat. She just called--she's at the thrift shops that are somewhat close to Riderwood; they are basically Unique times TWO, and they're architextually connected.
Naptime is gonna start soon, and will last until (hopefully) four o'clock or so.
4:18PM--the nap lasted until about 3:40 or so...we're leaving in about an hour. We could arrive before 5:30, which gives us time to get a good seat and eat Dinner. If I'M the boss of me, I won't be taking any guitars with us...I said IF.
9:22PM-had Dinner at Pirates Cove…we got there at about 6:30…that was a surprise. I wanted to get there at about six. Oh well...
10:36--Ray and Friends are  still going…apparently Dianne is A-OK. But I THINK we’re in the home stretch. MAYBE
SUNDAY 2/20/22 12:45AM-- got home about 15 minutes ago...We both had a good time; I spent more time onstage than I thought I would, but Dianne says she didn't mind. And I DID have fun, at least until I started getting tired. I was surprised to find out that Ray will be back before St. Patrick's Day. I think I'll be playing some dates with him...
1:24AM--a member of the audience at Pirates Cove took a buncha vids, about a half a dozen or so...I put 'em all on Flakebook.
1:38AM--going to bed shortly...hoping for at least seven hours sleep.
4:42PM--about seven hours is what I got...My Flakebook feed has been buzzing all day with comments regarding last night's Pirates Cove gig...I dunno if I'm gonna feel up to going to Dietle's tomorrow with SueEl--to play that is, I can go and just listen and hang out...I guess I should wait until tomorrow to make a decision either way.
6:29PM--getting a surprise visit tomorrow at about 11AM from a rep of UHC to follow up on a previous visit, a check-up of sorts...
9:50PM--just finished creating another CD for the Car...I hope I've got enuff room to store them in the car. There's a small compartment under the radio, I've been putting the CDs in it.
