More than two years


         MONDAY 8/29/22 7:21 It’s been two years since I last saw Rick Kanton… But here we are at Wolf's blues jam at Hank Dietle’s Tavern. I don’t really feel like playing but I could change my mind.
    8:37PM-I still don’t feel like playing, but the  OM leader doesn’t seem to believe me.
 9:55PM-well, I don’t think we were very good at all, but I could be wrong I suppose. that’s what I get for using a guitar that belongs to me that I’ve never played in public before: it did feel a little strange and I was told by the host that I was a bit too loud which is kind of irony at work. But anyway we did it it’s done. It’s time to move on, to what and/or where I have no idea. PS--I saw Steve Little there for the 2nd time in two years
11:22PM--If I have MY way, I won't be going to the Blues Jam any time soon.
         TUESDAY 8/30/22 9:30AM--I thought I had a virtual appointment of some sort, but no one has e-mailed or texted me yet, so maybe I don't. I would like that very much. UPDATE-it turns out that I DO have a virtual scheduled for 11AM. Rats. Hopefully it won't last long.
10:23AM--Almost forgot-Rick used Butterscotch, because he's used to playing a Strat. I used my Tele, which had never been outta the house. For any future use, I must warm up first. After what seemed like an eternity, I got used to Butterscotch again. And I think I'm ok with PETE, but I wasn't used to Blackie. And although Matt allowed me to use his rig, I couldn't quite get the sound I wanted from it. Oh well.
11:14AM--the good news? the virtual lasted (maybe) five minutes. the not so good news? the doctor was not happy with the images, from a technical standpoint-NOT a medical stand point. Which means we'll have to do it again--in a month or so. So as far as I can tell, my Tuesday is open.
         I wanna go see Ken and Luisa tonight if possible. Whether SueEl goes or not. I'm not in a hurry to contact her just yet.
11:28AM--but I sent her a text message just the same. waiting to hear back...
5:20PM--yet again, she said not tonight...she mentioned going out on Thursday. And now, in part because of the weather, *I* might not go. I've got IMO less than an hour to make a decision.
WEDNESDAY 8/31/22 12:34AM--just got in from Hershey's... after the karaoke show ended I hung around chatting with some guys--one of which (Mike) I've known for a LONG time. I sang two songs-OH PRETTY WOMAN and I WANT A NEW DRUG, which I don't think I've ever sung before. I had some fun, enough that I might go more than once in a blue moon.
5:08PM--I think SueEl wants to go to Bippy's tomorrow night. MY Farewell Tour (haha) might be starting at that time. I think Ray's last pub shows (in America anyway) are later in September as well.

Musical homework

            THURSDAY 8/4/22 6:19PM-- started doing my band "homework"... Hoping to be ready by Sunday's practice. Made a legible copy (by hand and then laptop) of the songs and their corresponding NOTES. It didn't take too long, but I'm glad I'm finished. 10:22PM-just took the Trazodone...gonna give it until 11PM and then ready or not I'M going to bed. I don't know why, but I'm almost happy the cleaners won't be back for two weeks. This happens every time they come to clean. Tomorrow is Muzzy's play date. Tuesday's just as bad

            TUESDAY 5/17/22 11:16AM-- someone is coming here to give me some sort of check-up. I don't think they represent UHC, but I might be wrong about that. Whoever it is, they're supposed to be here between Noon and 4PM. The sooner they get here, the sooner they'll be gone.  11:45AM--I'm nervous about the upcoming exam. As if I didn't already have enough to worry about, right? I've got bills I think need to be paid; I wanna be alone when I do it, and unless Dianne goes upstairs to work, I won't be. 1:41PM--whoever's coming to examine me should be here shortly...how long will the exam take? I have no idea, but I hope to be trying for a nap before three o'clock. 2:56PM--the exam is over, the young woman just left...I guess I'm in worse shape than I thought. I MIGHT have a mini pizza for dinner. 3:35PM--or not...the last thing I wanna do is ask Dianne to help me cook anything ...so tonight I'll have the Fettucine Alfredo, THAT I know how ...

dumber as ya get older

        MONDAY 5/23/22 8:47AM-It took me awhile, but I (alone) checked my blood sugar. it was 116. I was ok once I found the instruction booklet. I made a really good looking omelet. Today is the last day it's safe to use the eggs.         Dianne is at her doctor's appointment, I think. I'm working on the dishes,  after which...well, I dunno what I'll be doing. IF I can find the energy, I'll go to Hank's--IF I get the chance to warm up, more than a little that is. 5:10PM--the strings on Butterscotch absolutely need to be changed...well, maybe next week I'll bring it to Hank's. I'm still planning on going, but I'm not taking anything but some guitar picks. SueEl still isn't going tonight as far as I know. There might be a Fender amp and Tele already there--I can use that stuff if I get the chance to play. 7:26PM-the amp is here, the Tele is not-as far as I can see. 7:42PM-I guess I’ll be a spectator…such is Life.
