A State of Exhaustion

MONDAY 7/4/22 1:07PM--So I loaded up the trunk of my car with LPs and went to Litz, who are closed for the 4th of July--dammit.
I've decided to keep Blackie just the way she is. The neck is thicker than PETE, but not as thick as the Bass Bob gave me. I hope he'll take that back. UPDATE--Bob says he can switch necks  on it. I hope he can.
I guess the Gov't Project isn't nearly as done as I thought it was. Oh well. After my nap I'm going out to buy Dianne a present-WHAT I don't even know. I hope Artisans is open, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're not.
5:15PM--whether I'm ready or not, I'm going to Wolfe's Blues Jam. I'm taking my amp; I have a feeling I'll need it. And I'm taking my tuner. Probably leaving in about 25 minutes or so. I had enough time to have Dinner at home; there's almost $10 I saved by not going to McDonald's.
11:00PM--Went to Wolf's Blues Jam and (as a gtr. player,) sucked singing was ok...In the future, especially if I'm gonna us my amp, I have GOT to warm up and do a sound check on the amp.
TUESDAY 7/5/22 10:41AM--well, I won't be going to Bob's today at lunchtime; maybe by Four o'clock or so. I'm starting to get the feeling that maybe he doesn't wanna do this. What's equally possible is that I'm being overly impatient. If Bob doesn't wanna do it, he should just tell me, I can take it...I would have to, right?
10:57AM-- Bob says let's aim for three o'clock; and so I shall. I suspect any attempt at an after lunch nap will be useless--I'm probably too excited to get any sleep anyway.
11:34AM--might even take Butterscotch II to Victor Litz on the way to Bob's. As Forest Gump sez, "one less thang". There are dozens more to take care of.
4:48PM--just got back from Bob's and Litz...I had left my gig bag there when I put Butterscotch II on consignment. But I came home with Blackie (fine tuned-no pun intended) and another home built Strat, which I'll likely call Triplets.
It may not quite be a nap, but I'm gonna occupy the sofa for awhile.
WEDNESDAY 7/6/22 6:20AM--still working on my side of the Basement. The roomie suggested getting rid of the lawn mower, but I can't remember how she wants to do that. And of course, the manual is missing. Fortunately I found it online. Twenty-four pages-I'm glad it's not more than that.
11:20AM--it took about an hour and a half or so, but I have appointments with a therapist/psychiatrist and a medicine management person. I've got until tomorrow morning to finish the paperwork.THAT scares me.
12:20PM--I'm part way thru the mountain of paperwork for the therapist (etc.). I think Dianne is gonna help with it, hopefully before it goes away and we have to start over. I'm having some trouble NOT thinking about going to Bippy's Pub tomorrow. SueEl won't be able to go, which is kinda good for me.
In other news, Bob doesn't have enough time to work on my Strat-12.Maybe MAYBE all I have to do is put the 12-string neck back on it, and put strings on it.
1:00PM-I’ve been up since about 4 o’clock in the morning and so I believe I’m entitled to try to take a nap.
1:46PM–I think I’m gonna try my guitars out later today unplugged as it were and I am gonna take one or both of them to Bippy’s tomorrow. I’m kind of finding it hard to concentrate on anything else. I think I’ll go down to the basement after my nap but before dinner and fool around with these guitars. I might even (should) plug the amp in so I’ll have some idea of what they sound like.
5:11PM-Based on my research Blackie MIGHT have intonation problems OR the strings need to be stretched. On the other hand, stretching the high E on PT caused me to break it. So I'm going to Litz tomorrow, MAYBE take the Vinyl with me--or not. *I* feel like I've got enough to do tomorrow without me adding to it. I've got to go to Litz and get a .009 or .010 to replace the E string I broke on PETE.  As much as I would like to take Blackie, I'm not sure she'll be ready. On the other hand, PETE has been out, if only once. I have go to Lowe's to find a tiny flathead screwdriver--the TONE knob on Blackie is very loose, loose enuff that it can be pulled off. Which is why I might have to go to Lowe's to buy a mini flathead screwdriver--unless I can find one in the basement HAHAHAHAHA.
6:30PM--I found about a dozen PHILLPS screwdrivers downstairs, no flatheads--unbelievable. I've been getting more and more excited about tomorrow. If I get lost on the way to Bippy's or on the way home, I would have no navigator to blame, except me...
7:04PM--Dunno for 100% sure if Bippy's is happening. I haven't seen anything on Flakebook. If it's not, there's always Hershey's. But tomorrow night I won't bring my Bass.
9:09PM--when I WASN'T  looking for it, I found a tiny flathead screwdriver. Hopefully I won't have to go to Lowe's after all. I still plan to take the LPs to Litz sometime Thursday, maybe when the cleaners get here. 10AM would work for me, but I'm not in charge.
When I go out to a jam or open mic I TRY to keep to myself, but I'm just (at least sometimes) so gregarious and friendly.
10:13PM--hoping I'll get some sleep tonight. I've been up since about 5AM this morning. Surely I'll get a little.
