Humans constatly amaze me...but sometimes in a good way

SUNDAY 6/26/22 4:42pm--Just got back from visiting Bob, the bandleader. He GAVE me TWO electric guitars!!! That only leaves him with 100+ more- some assembled, most not yet. To say I was flabbergasted is a HUGE understatement...
Bob's gifts have inspired me to clean/straighten MY side of the basement, stating with that huge tarp that we have for some reason. I hope to start on it tomorrow--at 9AM. What exactly I will do and for how long is unknown to me at this time. I DO intend to take one of the new guitars-the one I call, for an obvious reason, Pete-- to what is now Dietle's Monday BLUES Jam. I hope SueEl can go too, but I don't yet know if she can.
UPDATE-SueEl is a maybe.
10:36PM--I just took the Trazodone and I'll be in bed possibly by 11:30; But suddenly I really wanna try out my guitars thru an amp. My main amp is in the trunk but the Blues Jr. is in the basement. I hope I can get some sleep tonight.
MONDAY 6/27/22 8:41AM--Dementia sucks. Last night while trying to get some sleep, I remembered that I traded my Blues Jr. (and some cash) for Butterscotch II. Oh well...
11:26AM--I did a teeny bit of work in MY section of the basement. I folded up the tarp, which was the most important thing to me.
My current assessment of my newest Tele (Blackie) is that the neck is a teeny bit thicker than I'm used to, but I'll get "used to" it. I dunno know what it sounds like and I don't think I'm gonna find out what it (or "Pete") sounds like until I take 'em out in public. A risky proposition for sure.
4:12PM--SueEl can't go. So me and "Pete"--and my amp--will go alone. I plan to do a sound check however brief it will be. I think it's a necessity. Maybe it's the relatively new strings or PT has intonation problems--if it's the latter, adjustments will have to wait. Of course I'm crossing my fingers.
TUESDAY 6/28/22 12:17AM--just got back from Wolf's Blues Jam...I was the closer. There were still a few folks left to hear  me play and sing. Me (and PT) did really well, as far as I could tell by the reception I got when I finished. To my surprise PT stayed in tune; thank you Universe...I'm glad I went and I hope SueEl can go with me next week. I just gotta pick some more blooze songs.
9:31AM--at this point in time, I have a one dollar bill in my pocket and $30 on my Capital One credit card. I admit to being quite worried.
11:30AM-The appointment with the podiatrist went well; I just have to be more diligent when it comes to using that medicine that he gave me. He says twice a day oughta be enough. He wants to see me in a month. So now I can relax, at least for the rest of today (I hope) then start getting nervous again tomorrow morning.
The plan for later is to do more work in the basement.
12:08PM--I'm actually kinda happy--I hope I didn't just jinx it.
5:15PM--did some cleaning up in the basement; it doesn't look like I did anything, but I did.
5:54PM--Dianne just got off work. I'm a bit further away from HAPPY as I was an hour ago.
10:23PM--unbeknownst to me, somebody (Wolf's GF Connie?) visually recorded (among other performances) my two songs...I'm so glad she did.
WEDNESDAY6/29/22 8:31AM--21st Century technology is great...when it fuckin' works. I got quite a surprise overnight – the SSA check came in!!! Unfortunately, I must send Best Buy the minimum of $100 towards my credit card bill. But I am very grateful that I have the money in the first place; And yet I’m pinching pennies already.
5:21PM-it took a bit of time, but I found the place where Charlie’s open mic is.The playing area is the size of two phone booths side by side, no bigger.
5:34PM-far as I can tell there’s one other musician here besides me and Charlie. I wanna go with my strongest songs – which ever songs that may be… And I don’t know how many I’m going to get so I better be prepared for at least three. I guess we’ll get started at Six.
5:48PM-I didn’t really want to but I ended up telling Bob about my difficulties with the telecaster… I hope he’s not mad or insulted or whatever; I’m trying to get us together Friday at lunchtime, but I don’t yet know if it’s gonna happen or not.
5:55PM-another musician came in… I know him, but I can’t remember his name. That’s not surprising, but it is depressing.
8:24PM-Jeff and harmonized really well, but amazingly my acoustic had tuning problems. And I struggled to get my fingers to go where I wanted them to. Suddenly the neck felt thick to me. And I had trouble hearing my guitar over Jeff’s but that’s nothing new.
10:19PM--I saw some folks tonight that I hadn't seen in at least two years; When a woman I know (who's name I can't remember) told me Gail was coming, I couldn't remember who Gail was. Then I saw her and  almost fell in love again-ridiculous, I know.
So now I can look forward to doing something musical tomorrow night. Even if it means going to Hershey's--the Plan is to take my Bass.
11:21PM--unless Lou wants to go to Umberto's...I just might say "thanx but not this week."
11:35PM--At this point Bob is willing to change necks on "Blackie". That would be nice.
THURSDAY 6/30/22 10AM--like it or not, if I want a guitar tuner, I gotta go to Litz. I'm hoping I can get a good one for about $20 bucks. I'm gonna leave soon so I can get back home and maybe do stuff before my UHC exam at One PM. UPDATE-- spent more than $20 bucks, but it's a better tuner and theoretically should be harder to lose...
2:15PM--somewhere between Monday's blues Jam and last night's acoustic open mic, I seem to have lost some cables...somewhere around four o'clock if not sooner, I have to go to Pritchard's and buy two of 'em.  I probably could borrow them from the host of the Hershey's open Jam, but then I'd have to give 'em back. Dammit. Needless to say I won't get a nap today. Double dammit. UPDATE--SHE'S LATE.
