why does it have to happen in public?

THURSDAY 3/17/22 11:50PM--while setting up my gear for the gig with Ray, I fell down. Dozens of people witnessed the incident. I was in a squatting position, like a baseball catcher, when it came over me. Hopefully I won't make THAT mistake again. (yeah right)
The gig itself went well enough, considering that Ray met the Bass player when they were setting everything up. I know him as the Bass player for RAGS...I'm sure he'll have a lot to tell them next time they have practice, if not sooner.
FRIDAY 3/18/22 8:08AM--I've already done something--I took the dog to her playtime facility. Now I have nothing major to do until Dianne and I leave for the gig at Pirates Cove. I DO have to unload my car and load up hers, but that shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes, right?
11:32AM--following Ray's advice, I made a reservation for two for the gig tonight--one less thing...
12:18PM--brought Muzzy home and now I'm having Lunch...Naptime is at 1:30.
I didn’t really have a nap; and I fell in the bathroom… on top of that I think we’re going to be somewhat late, on the other hand Ray Weaver shows hardly ever start on time. if it was up to ME, we’d be leaving now. Not to mention there’s going to be Friday traffic to worry about. Every piece of musical equipment that was in MY car is now in HER car. One less thing.
SATURDAY 3/19/22 12:30AM--just got home from the Ray gig...I'd say it was the worst Ray gig I've done so far. It may be the worst gig I've ever done. I gave the Roomie some of the money, I'm not sure how much--twenty bucks I think. I missed a very important turn on the way home, and the ride home only got worse after that. We fought, loudly..
I actually started out OK, late though I was. I had my Dinner and took the stage about thirty minutes after the official start time. Slowly but surely my playing started downhill. I didn't like the tone I was getting from the amp, and that lasted all night. No matter what knobs I adjusted, and how much, the tone sucked. The burger was as good as I thought it would be, but not worth the bad playing and lousy tone and the f**ked up ride home. I don't think I fell down, even once, but I knocked my drink off the partition I was sitting next to. And I had to relieve myself urine-arily front of a 7-11, while the roomie shopped.
10:45AM--I think I actually got EIGHT hours sleep last night; that's probably because I took TWO Trazodones instead of one. No regrets yet...The roomie is still in bed--and that's OK by me.
12:32PM--I don't feel like it, but I'm helping the Roomie straighten up 'round here. This includes plowing thru my many boxes of (mostly) unopened Mail...REALLY don't wanna do that, but it NEEDS to be done.
12:47PM--I don't think I'll be having any FUN today, but sometimes Life is like that.
1:00PM--haven't had Lunch yet...maybe 1:30 or so.
1:20PM--it really has been a rotten day so far, unless I'm missing some good thing.
1:55PM--my Lunch (a grilled cheese sandwich) came out really good appearance-wise. Gonna try for a nap in about 20 minutes; the day still sucks quite a bit. The safest place *I* can be is in bed.
5:40PM--went to the grocery store, spent $70 cash...shoulda charged it, oh well...but now I've got lotsa cheese, baloney,  Klondike Bars, soda and omelet samiches. I also have some different kinds of frozen dinners of various styles. And I used my "loose" change (about $26.00) to buy more underwear; cause I get tired of doing Laundry.
