a glimmer of good news

 

       THURSDAY 1/20/22 9:50AM--suddenly I have one less thing to worry about--I got confirmation of the MRI via text...and the text included the address!
     I have to go out either today or tomorrow to get Dianne her birthday present, from Trader Joe's. When I go depends on the weather; of course it changes by the minute--right now it's only raining (I think) but it could be snowing later--or not.
         I thought I heard Dianne talking about getting something from Starbucks. I've GOT to drive somewhere or I'll go crazy. If I only go to Starbucks, at least that would be someplace. 
      The UHC reps should be here to check me out shortly. It shouldn't take more than an hour, if not less.
         5:00PM--they came and went...Dianne helped when needed...I seem to have a hell of a lot of phone calls to make ASAP...Hopefully Dianne will be there to advise/guide me, for which I am SUPER grateful.
        8:45PM--I'm driving the coolest car I've ever had, even considering the 1985 Nissan 200sx, but I haven't been anywhere where people I know can see me in it. I saw Gail doing one of her walks the other day, but I didn't "ambush" her to show her the car...The cold weather is preventing me from continuing to clean out the trunk. It really needs it. I think my phone is connected to the stereo system via Bluetooth; I got THAT done earlier today, waiting for the cleaning ladies to leave...Tomorrow I'm gonna try playing Music from the phone also using Bluetooth. Which kinda makes carrying CDs around pointless, right? It's always good to have choices though.
FRIDAY 1/21/22 11:16AM--Today so far, I got Dianne a b-day card, made an appointment at NEXT DAY MEDICINE for 1/26 @ 9AM,, contacted Gendal (made appointment for 1/25 @2PM, stopped by CVS...*I* feel like that's enough for today... 
9:53PM--Dianne says that if I'm switching PC's I should just not go to the upcoming appointment with Gendal...mixed feelings about doing that...I dunno how long the MRI is gonna take; hopefully no more than an hour or so...afterwards Dianne and I are going to some bagel place in Germantown--why there I dunno. 
10:48PM--I bought some socks to replace the ones I bought a long time ago that barely covered the heel ...I think the new ones are the wrong size/too high...but I'll probably keep 'em...sheesh...

Musical homework

            THURSDAY 8/4/22 6:19PM-- started doing my band "homework"... Hoping to be ready by Sunday's practice. Made a legible copy (by hand and then laptop) of the songs and their corresponding NOTES. It didn't take too long, but I'm glad I'm finished. 10:22PM-just took the Trazodone...gonna give it until 11PM and then ready or not I'M going to bed. I don't know why, but I'm almost happy the cleaners won't be back for two weeks. This happens every time they come to clean. Tomorrow is Muzzy's play date. Tuesday's just as bad

            TUESDAY 5/17/22 11:16AM-- someone is coming here to give me some sort of check-up. I don't think they represent UHC, but I might be wrong about that. Whoever it is, they're supposed to be here between Noon and 4PM. The sooner they get here, the sooner they'll be gone.  11:45AM--I'm nervous about the upcoming exam. As if I didn't already have enough to worry about, right? I've got bills I think need to be paid; I wanna be alone when I do it, and unless Dianne goes upstairs to work, I won't be. 1:41PM--whoever's coming to examine me should be here shortly...how long will the exam take? I have no idea, but I hope to be trying for a nap before three o'clock. 2:56PM--the exam is over, the young woman just left...I guess I'm in worse shape than I thought. I MIGHT have a mini pizza for dinner. 3:35PM--or not...the last thing I wanna do is ask Dianne to help me cook anything ...so tonight I'll have the Fettucine Alfredo, THAT I know how ...

dumber as ya get older

        MONDAY 5/23/22 8:47AM-It took me awhile, but I (alone) checked my blood sugar. it was 116. I was ok once I found the instruction booklet. I made a really good looking omelet. Today is the last day it's safe to use the eggs.         Dianne is at her doctor's appointment, I think. I'm working on the dishes,  after which...well, I dunno what I'll be doing. IF I can find the energy, I'll go to Hank's--IF I get the chance to warm up, more than a little that is. 5:10PM--the strings on Butterscotch absolutely need to be changed...well, maybe next week I'll bring it to Hank's. I'm still planning on going, but I'm not taking anything but some guitar picks. SueEl still isn't going tonight as far as I know. There might be a Fender amp and Tele already there--I can use that stuff if I get the chance to play. 7:26PM-the amp is here, the Tele is not-as far as I can see. 7:42PM-I guess I’ll be a spectator…such is Life.
