time and patience--I've got more of one than the other

 

      WEDNESDAY 12/29/21 5:09PM--I worked in the instant/temporary Music lab...I think maybe it might be possible, perhaps, that I can run the ME-70 thru the amp...tomorrow I'm hopefully gonna write down settings...I'll  bring two stomp boxes to use as back-up...And I should try to make a checklist to possibly guarantee that everything is hooked properly...I wanna do some further testing tomorrow, but I think I'll have to start at mid-morning, leaving time enough to attempt to go to Dulles airport to pick Dianne up.
            I guess it's funny--I put plenty of energy into setting up the test (and I hope to do more tomorrow) but I'm not even in a band...And I don't yet know when/if I'm gonna audition for the Bandits...As for open mics, I'll bring the two stomp boxes...Actually, that's probably what I'll do for any auditions I may get...and Bandits rehearsals...
         9:32PM--my guitar playing skills have deteriorated somewhat...I dunno why,.Arthritis maybe...It turns out that the riff from LIFE IN THE FAST LANE makes for a good finger exercize. I have no idea when the Bandits' audition is gonna be, but hopefully it won't be too soon.I see daily guitar practicing in my future. I will do it unplugged if I have to.
10:32PM--I have to pick up a prescription for Dianne. I guess the 2nd test will come after that...I don't need to spend too much time on it;  15 minutes oughta be enuff...
THURSDAY 12/30/21 9AM--I just finished the tastiest and the best looking  omelette I've ever had. After that I dealt with the dishes; they're all washed and put away. I can run another amp test after I pick up Dianne's med(s) from across the street, somewhere around 10:30, more or less...as far as *I* know the directions to Dulles are in my phone.
  The goal for today is to be more patient; I think that's one reason the omelette came out so beautifully. As far as my "to do" list, the Test comes after the trip to the pharmacy ...
       I'm not sure why, but I seem to have drifted away from the Zen Coloring thing. Maybe not completely, but temporarily...
12:30PM--another amp/ME70 test...In order to use MEM Mode, FIRST, TURN THE AMP DOWN...then   do the other stuff...Turn it down to about 9:00, that should do it..
9PM--Just got home from Dulles, about a half an hour or so...I was there approximately three hours...I accidentally went to the hourly parking lot instead of the United Airlines' Gate. But I got out of the lot free of charge, and brought Dianne home, more or less without incident...We got dinner from Panara--pizza...
           I've been told we're gonna do the Car thing NEXT weekend...another patience test...A lot can happen in a week,  right?

Musical homework

            THURSDAY 8/4/22 6:19PM-- started doing my band "homework"... Hoping to be ready by Sunday's practice. Made a legible copy (by hand and then laptop) of the songs and their corresponding NOTES. It didn't take too long, but I'm glad I'm finished. 10:22PM-just took the Trazodone...gonna give it until 11PM and then ready or not I'M going to bed. I don't know why, but I'm almost happy the cleaners won't be back for two weeks. This happens every time they come to clean. Tomorrow is Muzzy's play date. I should be back home by eight thirty, after I go to Safeway and get bologna.       FRIDAY 8/5/22 8:46AM--Dianne is going to the Germantown flea market by herself. She's OK with that. Tuesday's just as bad

            TUESDAY 5/17/22 11:16AM-- someone is coming here to give me some sort of check-up. I don't think they represent UHC, but I might be wrong about that. Whoever it is, they're supposed to be here between Noon and 4PM. The sooner they get here, the sooner they'll be gone.  11:45AM--I'm nervous about the upcoming exam. As if I didn't already have enough to worry about, right? I've got bills I think need to be paid; I wanna be alone when I do it, and unless Dianne goes upstairs to work, I won't be. 1:41PM--whoever's coming to examine me should be here shortly...how long will the exam take? I have no idea, but I hope to be trying for a nap before three o'clock. 2:56PM--the exam is over, the young woman just left...I guess I'm in worse shape than I thought. I MIGHT have a mini pizza for dinner. 3:35PM--or not...the last thing I wanna do is ask Dianne to help me cook anything ...so tonight I'll have the Fettucine Alfredo, THAT I know how ...

dumber as ya get older

        MONDAY 5/23/22 8:47AM-It took me awhile, but I (alone) checked my blood sugar. it was 116. I was ok once I found the instruction booklet. I made a really good looking omelet. Today is the last day it's safe to use the eggs.         Dianne is at her doctor's appointment, I think. I'm working on the dishes,  after which...well, I dunno what I'll be doing. IF I can find the energy, I'll go to Hank's--IF I get the chance to warm up, more than a little that is. 5:10PM--the strings on Butterscotch absolutely need to be changed...well, maybe next week I'll bring it to Hank's. I'm still planning on going, but I'm not taking anything but some guitar picks. SueEl still isn't going tonight as far as I know. There might be a Fender amp and Tele already there--I can use that stuff if I get the chance to play. 7:26PM-the amp is here, the Tele is not-as far as I can see. 7:42PM-I guess I’ll be a spectator…such is Life.
